Smile Newbie
Hi everyone!

I'm new to this site and I think it is great, the posts are very motivating.
I’m Ruby.
I’ve lived in Oklahoma since 1970, was born in Ca. I’m 42; currently weigh 213lbs @ 5’2”. I need to lose 100 lbs. But would be happy with losing 20lbs to start.
I have quit the Pepsi habit, and now working to quit smoking. Hope to get to know all of you.

I, too, had a pepsi habit - I've cut back to just one or two a week and it's made a big difference.

Hi Ruby, and welcome! Great news about the plan to quit smoking (if you ever feel frustrated, desperate and on the verge of knawing off your arm, send me a PM for some heavy-duty support. I managed to quit after 30 years of puffing and totally understand the challenge!) Oh yeah, feel free to talk about losing weight, too!

Thanks for the warm welcomes!

Laura,

Drinking Pepsi is a hard habit to break. I can also tell a big difference.
Trying to drinks lots of spring water now, I never liked tap water.
I believe quitting Pepsi and starting to exercise helped with the 7 lb loss.

I was almost to the point of knawing the arm off today.
My nephew gave me a straw, told me chew on that instead.
