Default Your Playlist

I saw this thread on the Exercise link and thought it would be fun over here. What do you all listen to when you work out? CD's and MP3s....
Here are a few of my favorites (today)

311 - Amber, Come Original, Love Is What I Got, Love Song For No One (and most of the rest of their stuff)
The Killers - Mr. Brightside or Somebody Told me
Kanye West - Jesus Walks, The Workout Song - if you have never heard this you have to look it up and give a listen!
The Donnas - I want you to want me
Spicegirls - Wannabe (I saw this on that credit card commercial and couldn't get it our of my head)
Sara Evens - Born to Fly (usually at the begining or end)
Gretchen Wilson - When it Rains, I Pour (but I like just about anything of hers.)
Big and Rich - Save a horse, ride a Cowboy, or Big Time
Gwen Stefani - Holla Back Girl or If I was a Rich Girl, or South side (w/Moby)
Mariah Carey - It's Like That
Shania Twain - I Ain't No Quitter, Party For Two
Britney Spears - Toxic, Stronger, Breath On Me, ect.
Faith Hill - Mississippi Girl
Baby Bash - I'm Back
Akon - Locked up, Mr.Lonely
50 Cent - Disco Inferno, Candy Shop
Black Eyed Peas - Don't Phunk With My Heart, Pump It, Hey Mama
Alison Krauss - Restless, Lucky One (warm up or cool down)
Ashanti - Happy, Rock Wit You
Sugarland - Gotta Be Something More, Baby Girl

Great idea...

I've got the same Gwen Stefani, Britney, and The Killers stuff on my workout playlists, but here are some songs that weren't mentioned yet:

California Love - Tupac
We Used to be Friends - Dandy Warhols
Chains of Love - Erasure
Canned Heat - Jamiroquai
New Slang - The Shins
Think - Aretha Franklin
Crazy in Love - Beyonce
Get Back, Roll Out - Ludacris
I Want You to Want Me - Cheap Trick
Work It - Missy Elliot
Come on Closer - Jem
Ray of Light - Madonna (and also pretty much all of the Immaculate Collection)
Hundry Like a Wolf, Rio - Duran Duran
Laid - James
Shadrach, Hey Ladies, Get it Together - Beastie Boys
Dancing with Myself - Billy Idol
Since U Been Gone - Kelly Clarkson
Shining Star - Earth, Wind & Fire
Give up the Funk - Parliament
F**k and Run, 6'1", Help Me Mary, Supernova - Liz Phair

I'm sure there's more that I can't think of right now (and my gym bag is in my car so I can't read off the track lists of the cds I've made). After typing the songs out, I realized I have some pretty eclectic exercise cd's.

I usually try and warm up with Dance With Me by 112. The beat from that is awesome to start on the elliptical.

Than its a mixture. MP3s were inveted for exercise I swear.

Some of the songs I have are

Hey Mickey - Tony Basil
Rock Me - ABBA
Bump - P Diddy, B2k
C'est La Vie - Bewitched
Love Shack - B52s
8 Days a Week, Twist and Shout, I Wanna Hold Your Hand, We Can Work It Out, Lady Madonna, I Feel Fine, Rock n Roll Music - The Beatles
Crazy In Love - Beyonce
Girls Just Wanna Have Fun - Cyndi Lauper
Let's Get ******ed - Black Eyed Peas
This Is It - Danni Minogue (Aussie song)

I also downloaded a ton of cheerleading mixes, which I love to exercise to. They're made to get you in the mood to be peppy and exercise. Brillant.

I always have to warm down to Let's Hear it for the Boy by Denise Williams.

Oh man, I have the hugest playlists ever. I have a lot of the same stuff as all you guys too -- speaking of The Killers, I saw them live a couple weeks ago and they were awesome!

Conglomeration of stuff from my playlists:
Black Eyed Peas - Let's get ******ed, Hey Mama, Don't Phunk With My Heart
Bon Jovi - It's My Life, Livin' On a Prayer, Runaway
Bowling for Soup - 1985
Fountains of Wayne - Stacy's Mom (great warmup song)
Gwen Stefani - What You Waiting For?
Outkast - Hey Ya
NSync - It's Gonna Be Me, Bye Bye Bye, Tearin' Up My Heart (boy bands are great workout music!)
Backstreet Boys - It's Gotta Be You, The One
Justin Timberlake - Rock Your Body (good cooldown song)
A*Teens - Mama Mia, Gimme Gimme Gimme (a man after midnight) (these are remakes of Abba songs, I like them better than the originals)
Britney Spears - Toxic, Stronger
Motley Crue - Kickstart My Heart
Vicki Sue Robinson - Turn the Beat Around
Blumchen (German techno group) - Herz an herz, so wie ein wunder, ich bin wieder hier (I don't understand a word of the lyrics, but the beat is awesome)
Shakira - Ojos Asi
L'Arc~en~Ciel (Japanese band) - Jiyuu e no shoutai, Ready steady go
Garbage - Push It (GREAT running song)
Right Said Fred - I'm Too Sexy
Rose Royce - Car Wash
Lindsay Lohan - Rumors
Ashlee Simpson - La La
Destiny's Child - Survivor, Bootylicious
Usher - Yeah
The Killers - Somebody Told Me, Mr. Brightside
Yellowcard - Ocean Avenue
Anita Ward - Ring My Bell
Jennifer Lopez - Get Right
Kelly Clarkson - Since U Been Gone
Gina G - Ooh Ahh...just a little bit
Duran Duran - Rio
Amber - This is your night
La Bouche - Wanna be my lover
Scooter - How much is the fish (this is the weirdest song ever, but it is AWESOME)
Jewel - Intuition
Scorptions - Rock you like a hurricane
Kylie Minogue - Come into my world, can't get you out of my head
Nelly - Hot in Herre
The Faint - Glass danse, southern belles in london sing, agenda suicide
(I have that song, the "Numa numa" song, it's some Romanian hit called "Dragostea din te" or something, it's the one that there's that popular internet video of the guy at his computer singing along)
U2 - Mysterious Ways
Sisqo - The Thong Song
Ah Ha - Take on me
Real McCoy - Another Night
Vengaboys - Boom boom boom boom
Haddaway - What is Love?

I'll probably be adding more soon . . . I just put them on random on my iPod. I have the weirdest mix of stuff on there! I love disco, classic rock, 90's dance hits, and anything current too.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that likes to work out to some hardcore music! Sometimes I catch myself slowing down and speeding up a lot if it is something like Tool. I usually try to stick with upbeat poppy punk.

Clutch
Tool
System of a Down
Blondie (yes, old school Debbie Harry)
Green Day
Weezer
Beastie Boys
Beck

I don't have an mp3 player, so it is usally whole albums.
