Default Time of the month

Just curious, how much weight do you find you put on during that dreaded time of the month??

I can gain up to 2lbs, sometimes 3lbs, but I find it gone by the next weigh in and then a little more if I have stayed OP.

I really have to watch my salt intake during TOM and avoid Chinese food at all costs or I really gain and feel all gross and bloated.

The average woman puts on 4-7 pounds of water retention during TOM. I have had months (when I was having them) I didn't put any on and actually even lost and months where I gained 7-10 pounds during that week. But my average was probably gain of 3-4 pounds.

Unhappy

I'm going on a major munchies spree because of that time of the month. I've had two peanut crisp bars and a bag of baked doritos. Anyone have any suggestions on what they do for the munchies during the calm before the crimson wave? Thanks!

Julie

If I have a chocolate craving I eat the WW 2 points bars.

I try to do something to keep myself occupied like polishing the brass, sewing or playing on the computer. My mind gets foucused on other things that way and I forget to eat

Gosh! I feel lucky. I have never gained over a pound at any WI, even TOM. Maybe .2 or maintain due to TOM, but I would probably freak out if I had a 10# gain for any reason!

For my chocolate cravings, I LOVE Snicker or M&M Kudo bars. The same points as WW snack bars, but cheaper.

If you are craving chocolate make sure you are taking a multivitamin with magnesium in it. It helps with the chocolate cravings.

I tend to not get cravings anymore during TOM so I am trying to remember what I used to have to combat them. I think I got some chocolate covered pretzels as it satified the crunch, salt and sweet cravings.

If you retain water, it'll be gone by the next week!

If you have a craving for a snack, "Cruncher" chips are great: 12 for 1 point or 24 for 2!
