Default Fell Off The Wagon Again...

I caught this website while searching for a way to finally, once and for all convince myself to stay on my exercise program. I love the name...3fatchicks...it suits the way I feel right now.

I have tried and tried to get my scale to go under 161lbs...I have no clue why that was the magic number, but the scale would not go under this number no matter what I seemed to do until.... I decided to exercise vigorously. I worked out for about 3 weeks on my elliptical trainer (dished out mega bucks) every night for 50 minutes. Finally, finally...the scale started to move in the right direction. I watched what I ate but not drastically...and still, the scale moved. Anything in the right direction no matter how small would make me ecstatic because for 1 year the scale would not move below 161 lbs no matter what diet I was on (Atkins, South Beach, Weight Watchers).

Then the stress of my job hits me as it does so often and bam...I stop exercising and the weight is coming back on.

How do I make myself understand that I need exercise every day and that I cannot stop exercising when I get too stressed out? Why won't I listen to myself?

I'm looking for motivation here. I want to hear from some other poor soul who has been where I am and has found a way to break out of bad habits.

try drinking lots of water to clean out the bad things (salt, fat) , eaat les fattening foods and junk. eat healthy snacks. try eating more because your body maybe storing fat because it thinks its sstarving. i have been trying to loose for over a year. i lost 20 then gained it back plus more. the last 2 weeks i've lost 10 and finaly under where i started. good luck. glen

Write your times you plan on exercising in your planner and keep that date with yourself. (I have yet to do this yet but it's on my to do list )

I'm gonna take your suggestion...I think this worked for me a while back when I was actually successful at losing some 30lbs.

I just realized that it has been 5 months since I joined this message board and I still weigh 161lbs! But maybe that's because I haven't been checking in!
