Smile portion sizes

Hi,

I am pretty new. I'm confused about portion sizes of everything.
The recipe book gives portion sizes; but, "South Beach Diet" book talks about
how portions are determined by your eating until you're satisfied. That's the wrong thing to say to me cause I think I've been over doing it. What's the best thing to do? Should I limit myself even if I still hungery after a meal or snack.

Can we eat raw vegetables or cooked veggies between meals if we get hungery? Are there any free foods that we can eat as much as we want?
Any suggestions would be helpful. Welcome to all the newbies! This is all pretty exciting.

Thanks,
debido

Hi Debido!
Your appetite will definitely decrease on this diet, so I wouldn't worry too much about portion sizes. You should start feeling full after a meal within a few days.
Yes, you can have any of the allowed vegetables in between meals if you're hungry. It's good to have a couple of planned snacks throughout the day.

Check out the FAQ section here. There are a lot of good suggestions.
