Red face Weight Watchin' Wednesday

Good morning, ladies!! Just a quick post to start the thread, then I gotta get back to work.

I started back to work on Monday. So far, I'm not glad to be back. Oh well, gotta make a living, I guess.

I don't know if you guys read the Skinny Daily Post, but she just recently did a story on The Swan. If you're interested in reading it, there's a forum on here called The Skinny Daily Post. I just thought that was interesting since we talked about it yesterday.

I'm still plugging away on SBD. I had a rough weekend--a stamping/scrapping day that was catered and was lots of stuff I shouldn't have had. Another stamping/scrapping thing on Sunday that had snacks and I didn't want to insult the lady by not eating. Monday, I started back at Subway and couldn't resist a sandwich. The first 5 day of SBD were really easy because I was home and nothing unexpected came up. It's good that the diet isn't entirely Phase One because it's kind of hard to incorporate it into "real" life. In the first 5 days on it, I lost 6 lbs. I think that's pretty great.

OK, I gotta get back to work.

Hey Honey I've been having a hard time too Yesterday I sugar binged but I figured out why
I didn't have my diet coke
I realize its my addiction and it keeps me from sugar!
DF has been MIA with a headache (I think) for 2.5 days so I'm worried one of his friends is going to see if there are any open windows so we can get in

Hi Jess,

I am still plugging away at stage 1 myself. I've done fairly well and have lost about 5lbs thus far so I am happy with that.. if I could lose a couple of more that would be really cool. I have 5 more days including today on phase 1, I am starting to stratagize for stage 2. It's tough though, but it's helping me get out of some of my bad eating and snacking habits... I don't always have food on my mind anymore (I am no longer craving carbs...well usually not), so I guess it is working. I also figured out my first splurge which will be on May 8th when I visit a friend of mine... We're going out for dessert

Anyhoo, I have Friday off so I'll be visiting Montreal! It should be fun.

Cheers!

Ali

KO: I quit diet coke and gained... for me it helps too... diet seven-up and diet sprite both make me crave sugar.

Cheers!

Morning!!

Funny that you guys mention Diet Coke this morning - I've been having one a day and it's helped me to stay OP. I think it's the caffine - I'm a caffine junkie. If I don't get it in pop - then coffee - or I'll move to the chocolate. Diet coke rules! Especially diet coke lime!!! I've also really been watching my bread intake - I'm usually high carb especially with breads but I've been trying to keep it to one meal a day and I usually have a Special K bar or something like that as a snack at some point in the day. I'm going to take a look at the SBD to see what you guys are losing on - You're both doing GREAT!!
Jess - I sympathize about work - I keep repeating to myself that I only have 4 months left - they'll be long months...
Kier - Let us know what's up with DF when you hear from his friend...
Ali - Did you watch the game last night - I felt very bad for the Habs - They can still come back!!!

Gotta fly - I'll check in later..

KT

Has everyone forgotten about me? I know ... I have been a bad 3FC friend. I've gotten all caught up in a baby site for the past several months that I have not come back here. I'm sorry, really sorry.

I just wanted to check in and say hi. I've read a couple of days worth of posts and it sounds like a lot has gone on! Not really has changed for me. DH and I are still trying to have a baby. It's been 9 months of trying now and we're really both very frustrating. Next month we're going to start getting tested. Him first, and then me. I never knew how long this would take! Everyone says not to stress, but of course I stress more. And when I stress, I eat, so I am not doing very well with my weight. I think I'm hovering around 200 now and I'm just really very embarrassed about it. That basically means I've gained 20 lbs in a year in a half.

But I won't dwell on myself. I know Belle's wedding is getting closer, Jayne had her baby and did I read that Jess got new boobs? I hope all of you are doing wonderfully, and I'll certainly try and visit more often. I had been thinking about you girls lately, so I decided just to come visit.

HI KIM!!! Welcome back!! You know LOTS of people take over a year, so you are not abnormal - hang in there and enjoy trying....

I wanted to post more but I just have a second and I want to say - I, too, have the caffienne/diet coke addiction. If I have coffee in the morning I can even pass up donuts, or whatever. And in the afternoon, a coffee or diet coke staves off the other cravings!! Must be the caffienne...who knows.

DF and I saw the dietician last night and it was good - it really helped DF to understand why I want to lose weight and how, so he can better support me.

Anyhoo - I have to run - I have work to do before the end of day. I'll be MIA tomorrow as well, at an offsite planning meeting for work.

Take care, have a great OP weekend...

And KIER - congrats on 197 girl!! I WI on Sat and will update you on my status....

ciao
