Default daily dish - fall vegetables

You might begin to notice some new arrivals in the produce section of your grocery store. Pumpkins, squash, apples, and pears are just a few of the most common items that reach a peak in the fall. To help you enjoy the season's bounty, keep the following list handy:

Phase 1
Bok choy
Broccoli
Cabbage
Cauliflower
Lettuce
Kale
Onion
Spaghetti squash
Swiss chard

Phase 2
Apples
Pears
Sweet potatoes

Phase 3 (in moderation)
Beets
Carrots
Potatoes

I call it Chinese cabbage, but I know it is a bit different. It has thicker stems and less leafy part. Sort of like a wierd celery. Lizzie
