Today I tried something new!
I had my normal Yoga class at the normal obscene hour in the morning but instead of walking my 3 miles (which I usually do afterwards). I took my Yoga instructors Circuit Traning/Step class (which immediately follows).
It was pretty fun! It had been awhile since I was in a step class but it all came back pretty fast. I was just happy because I wasn't bored. About the 1.5 mile mark on the treadmill, I have to start making bargins:
"Okay, if you walk 10 more minutes at 4.0mph, you can quit."
"Okay, you made it 10 more minutes, do you really want to give up now? Okay, if you don't give up, I'll let you go down to 3.8mph."
"Okay, I know you feel like you're gonna die so let's think about something else, ummmmm... how about pie? Mmmmm, pie. Hey! Stop thinking about pie! Now, you have to run for 1/10 of a mile because you thought about pie!"
Internal dialogue is great.
