Less than 1000 calories can be dangerous because you are hard pressed to get adequate nutrients at that level. I use an app called cronometer and even at 1100-1200 calories, I have to really work to get all the right nutrients and still have to take some supplements.

There are published 1000 and 1200 calorie diets that can be safe and healthy. Consider one of those.

Please reconsider and do something a little healthier. Your body is not even fully developed at 18 and you may be doing irreparable damage to it.

I eat everything that i used to eat, only a lot less. My diet is not changed at all. I just try to eat less. I'll try to put my nutritions too not just the numbers.

You are an adult and can do what you wish

That is a very high carb, nutrient poor diet there. It is very unhealthy.
My concern is you will either develop anorexia or go off the deep end and eat everything in sight. There are so many healthy approaches to weight loss. You can research 1000, 1200 calorie diet plans. There is medifast that is 800-1000 which is medically supervised and has people on this forum. etc. That is my last comment.

I actually lost around 6 pounds in only 2 weeks. Both with help from a new scientific method as well as I cut down on bad calories such as sugar and stuff, and took the bicycle to and from work. Got really surprised. But happy! Will continue with this and keep you guys updated

To -- Im that girl.

I said I would not comment but I was just diagnosed with low bone density. Osteopenia. Whatever you do to your body now will pay you back in 40 years. Between now and age 30 your are laying down the bone that will carry you the rest of your life.

At least consider entering your food in cronometer which is a free app and look at how it stacks up with the minimum required (RDA) nutrients for health. Dates- yes - I think most people are familiar with them - even as a kid 50 years ago I remember eating them (mainly in date nut bread on which you would spread cream cheese) - back then even foods like brocolli were "exotic" at the grocery store - much less variety

I am actually not familiar with that. I found out diet means a different thing in Western countries it is more like a eating plan you follow but where i live going on a diet means eating less! It it weird for me how you guys care about nutritions, here nobody even talks about it. Even parents don't care. My friend from us was pretty shook when she found out we had sugary stuff for breakfast everyday as a kid!
And i found out about calorie counting pretty recently.. i am in a learning process. And i try to take your advice.

Ah, that explains why you did not understand my shock.

In all fairness, Middle Eastern people started developing Western health problems when they started eating a more western diet with more sugary things. American food is killing everyone! I learned in biochemistry that diabetes was almost unheard of over there many years ago.

Potatoes are high in carbs but they have a LOT of good potassium. Noodles are pretty much garbage food as far as I can tell. The cronometer has very good information.

We have an Iranian restaurant nearby and I love the food! Nuts are very nutritious as well.
