I've started working out again and having been doing so for a couple weeks now.
I'm working out 5 days a week 30-50 mintues the days I work out and I am doing HIIT and strength training at home more specifically fitness blender workouts on youtube. I've started using myfitnesspal and was unsure of what to put for activity level. When I'm not working out I'm not on my feet a lot. So I put sedentary and it had me at 1858 calories a day. Then using other calculators online where I was asked how often I work out those are all saying I should be eating 1900 to 2400 a day so I'm very confused right now about the right amount of calories to be taking in so I can lose weight. If anyone has any advice that would be great. Thank you.
If you're working out 5 days a week, 30-50 minutes a day, you're not sedentary. Pick one of the other options (I don't know what they are, so I couldn't say which one).
How much do you weigh now and how many calories were you routinely eating before you started eating healthy and thinking about counting calories.
The first time I lost 100 pounds (I'm on my second (and LAST!) time now.... I started around 285 and pretty regularly lost 2 pounds a week. I did not workout more than playing on the Wii and walking a few miles a day. Hiking hilly walking but not hard hiking. I started eating 1600-1800 and by the time i got to 180 was down to around 1400-1600.
But where you start depends on your starting weight, how much you want to lose, and how fast you want to lose.
