Default Back to Do it Again

Just found myself on the Wonderland list and was a bit sad because I am at 229 now. I lost 80 lbs. and gained back 55 in a year and a half of a totally sedentary job, not working out, and trying to stay on a low fat diet.

23 days ago I began to see a personal trainer and nutritionist. I stopped taking Phentermine, which made it hard to sleep and wasn't helping me lose weight anymore.

I switched from a typical low fat calorie counting diet to eating real food, high in fat and protein and as low in carbs as possible. I am still calorie and carb counting. My carb count is still too high to go into ketosis, I think, but I'm working on it.

I also went from a year of dodging the gym back to a weightlifting and cardio routine 2x a week.

I've lost almost no weight so far, but it seems to be shifting around a bit and I feel great. Next steps are to exercise more like 4x a week, drink more water, and further reduce carbs.

Wish me luck.

Good luck! Sounds like you are on track now for some major losses, and hopefully you will be in Onederland before you know it!

I am trying to get there myself, but this is my first real attempt to lose weight. I am hoping I can keep it up and get to Onederland and beyond haha.

Lots and lots of good luck and good vibes. It's awesome you're feeling so good! You're leaps and bounds ahead of me on the weight-loss front, and I'm super impressed with your motivation and drive. It's very inspiring!

Welcome back.

GOOD LUCK!!

It sounds like you know what is going to work for your body.

I'm pretty much in the same place. I got down to about 182 then had major drama hit. And other the course of 8 months, gain 30+ lbs. I came on here two weeks ago to try and get refocused, but finals hit and I've done nothing but study and eat for two weeks. Im scared to get the on scale!!
