Smile New to Forum & South Beach

This is my first post on this forum. Hello everyone...I decided to start South Beach Phase 1 tomorrow. I am so afraid of giving up bread but I want to drop the 100 pounds I need to lose. Looking forward to learning and interacting with everyone.

Welcome to 3FC!!!

I used to eat tons of pasta and bread and found Phase 1 challenging, but a great learning experience. You might find giving up bread for two weeks to be liberating! Good luck!!!

welcome! I am starting tomorrow too! I tried it before and it worked for me. I really want to do the 15 days for phase one this time.
I wish you all the power to be able to stick to it! Maybe we could be weight loss buddies?
By the way there is a very supportive site called dietdiaries in case you are interested.

I am a self-proclaimed bread addict. When I cut it out I eventually don't miss it. But I struggle to eat it in moderation, most of the time.

I found the first two days to be quite challenging, but I had been eating pastries daily for months, so of course it was a change..but now I'm locked firmly into Day 8 and doing great

welcome! i'm on day 10 of phase 1!!! i've always been a major carb person, and i'm doing surprisingly well! i did it after my first son, 8 yrs ago, and there are so many new recipes out now that makes it even better to stay on plan!

Welcome to the beach!
make sure you check out the recipe section of the board, there are lots of great things in there to keep you full and satisfied.
It also helps to think out side of the box when it comes to your meals (ie: breakfast doesnt have to be breakfast food, have soup, or leftovers, etc.)
But most importantly, I feel, is to plan ahead.... dont leave the decision of what to make for dinner until your starved for it, helps make better choices.
