I often look at calorie counts on things I used to eat as well, and then nearly have a heart attack when I realise that I have to multiply that number because that's their recommended serving and not one of my servings. Yeah, serving sizes out of a large bag of potato chips. Goooood luck.

Enjoy the eggnog!

It was good, not as thick and creamy as usual. Still good tho. Oh yes the container had 1600 calories in it. I feel so awful for having an entire bottle. Like what!!!

I've never had eggnog! I've always been curious but now that I am trying to lose weight I'm not going to bother trying it. I've never had Nutella either. I'm not a sugar person anyway.

Yah no don't try it if you don't want to have a new food addiction to worry about, oh and nutella, hmm it's ok I didn't grow up on it like I did egg nog.

I've only had egg nog with liquor... I'll be staying away from that this season for sure.

Don't get me started on the awesomeness of Nutella.

If you can get past it not being thick, I think the Silk Nog has a good flavor. It's pretty good as coffee creamer, too. I buy a whole nutmeg and fresh grate a little in it - makes a HUGE difference. My health food store sells whole nutmeg in bulk - you can buy 1 for about 40 cents. WAY better than ground nutmeg.

I am with you on the eggnog. When I saw my local grocery store was already carrying it I got so excited! Then I stopped, remembered I was trying to lose weight, and realized there was no way it would be wise to get eggnog! I'm thinking of making my own using some dairy alternative and Splenda but like the idea of not having to do that. Anyone have suggestions for a healthier eggnog besides Silk? Or perhaps a recipe?

I purchased some eggnog flavouring the other day to add to my cooked low sugar/low fat puddings but I have a feeling it won't quite be the same...

Another Nutella freak here. Food of the gods, as far as I'm concerned. To my great surprise I've learned to keep it in the house without indulging too often. (my skinny kids like it too.) Sometimes I'll have a teaspoon before working out, and once every few weeks I'll have a banana with melted Nutella for breakfast, but that's about it. I used to be able to polish off a 400g jar (2,000+ cals) in an hour or less.

Egg nog is good, but I can do without it pretty easily. But Nutella...I don't want to think too much about Nutella. So good.

Awwwwww wonderful Eggnog. I will have to try the Silk and see if that will do it for me. Last year I worked at Starbux and Eggnog was there, free for the drinking. This year will be better.

I get the reduced fat (or whatever the lighter version is) of the regular egg nog and "cut" it with skim milk (I suppose you could do his with almond/soy/coconut milk as well, but I've never tried it), still quite a few calories and not quite as creamy, but definitely reduced... This is what is done at Starbucks too (except they use the regular, non reduced eggnog), just incase anyone wanted to know

I saw Jamba Juice has an eggnog drink, and there's a light version (260 calories for 16 oz, vs. 343 calories for 8oz of regular eggnong.).
