Default Wii Sports, Just Dance 3 and Zumba to lose weight?

I received a Wii for Christmas and I have just started using Wii Sports and Just dance games. I used them for the first time last night and I really worked up a sweat. Has anyone had any success using Wii to lose weight and what was your experience?

Wii has been my main exercise for the last 15 months. I started with Wii fit plus which was a big help in getting some basic stamina built before starting something harder. I do Biggest Loser Challenge 5 times a week (now on challenging for 40 minutes - started on easy for 15 minutes) and I continue to use Wii fit plus on other days (just cause it's more fun!). I think it is a great thing to be able to exercise in your own home, doing something fun.

Thank you. I spent an hour on Tennis last night because I wanted to beat the game. It's good to know that it will help me in my weight loss.

Zumba is more of a workout than Just Dance 3. JD3 is good for when you have friends over or something, but not so good if you truly want a heart pumping workout so I would recommend Zumba by far. The othef Wii game I have had success with is The Biggest Loser Challenge (its the blue one, not the yellow one). It customizes your workouts to your current fitness levels and its a new routine everyday so it keeps you motivated. It also helps with some weight tranining. However, time does move slower since its obviously way more fun (in my mind) to dance around to good music than it is to do regular workout moves
