Default Calorie Cycling

Hi guys,

I recently bought a membership from *******. It's a website with information on calorie-cycling and a lot of tips and tricks on losing weight. There's a calorie calculator on there where you enter your weight, your height, your age and your how much exercise you do and it gives you a week of calorie intake for each day of the week (you have the option of losing a extreme weight loss, regular weight loss & maintaining weight) . You get low days (not too low!) and you get high days. Apparently, you lose a lot of weight this way. I tried with the weight I'm at now (175 with no exercise), the calories went from 1400 on low days and 1600 on high days, that was for extreme weight loss too. Looks pretty good to me! I made sure I had a high day on Saturday since that's the day I normally eat more calories. I'm sitll not sure if I'm keeping my membership on there. It's $4.95 for the first month to try it out and then $20 for the next months. The first month was a good price but I find it a bit expensive afterwards. Also, the forum on there isn't working and there's not really a point to keep my membership once I print/download all the documents I need. So anyways, I'm starting calorie-cycling tomorrow. Sounds like a easy plan to follow to me. The only work that I need to work on is make sure I have a notebook everywhere with me and track everything I eat.

Anybody else on here do calorie-cycling?

I visited the same website. I'm new to calorie counting (just had my second weigh-in) and I'm not calorie cycling yet, but reading their material made me curious and when I looked at my records since I started it looks like I may not have been eating enough! I'm going to go back to the website and at least note down what I should be aiming for, try it for a week or two and see what happens...

I naturally do a bit of cycling by eating the lower cal 5 days a week and higher calories 2 days a week. I don't go crazy with eating on the 2 days ... I just hit the max of my recommended calorie range. This has worked well for me in the past and is working for me again, it seems.

My thinking, right or wrong, is that this helps keep my metabolism fired up.

I started doing cycling without really thinking about it.
I decided if I had cravings throughout the week I would allow myself to have something after I weigh-in each week.
So weigh-in day started becoming my high-calorie day. Then naturally the day before weigh-in day became my low-calorie day. LOL

I attack my calories weekly, 10,000 a week. I have a very high day, then a high day, then 3 regular days, then a low day, then a very low day, repeat.

It's working out great so far this way!!!

Ok, I spent the morning looking into calorie cycling/zig zagging and it sounds awesome! I've read only positive about this method and it seems to really work. I found a free site, Freedieting.com, that several people recommended and after entering my info it gave me my cycling schedule. I'm going to give it a try and see what happens

I stumbled on it after some googling It has me at a higher calorie intake then what I'm at now, but I picked my current number by just taking a guess (my first week at this), so I'm going to try their higher numbers for a few days and see what happens. I'm going for the weight loss option and not the extreme weight loss option for calories. Maybe I'll change after a few days though, depending on how it goes!

The numbers are exactly the same as the other website. I'm trying the extreme weight loss

I was 45 calories short yesterday I ate a total of 1363 which I'm VERY proud of myself. Hehe! Today, I'm probably going to eat out tonight so I need to make sure to eat light for lunch. I love this, I can still eat out, I just need to make sure to look up the calories of the restaurants and see what's lower calories. LOVE IT!

I came in under by 29 calories yesterday It was a higher day, at 1,594, and I didn't know what to do with all those calories lol. Today I'm down to 1,435. Tuesday's are my lowest days, at 1,280 but then Wednesday is my fun day because I get 1,913! I'll need to plan ahead so I get in all those calories, but do it in a healthy way ie not McDonalds lol.

I was so proud of myself last night-my husband came home and wanted to take the kids on a walk to Wendy's for frostys. This was after I had eaten all my calories for the day (except the 29). One jr frosty was 200 calories so I just walked and got an ice water. I wasn't hungry, so if I had gotten something it would have just been a waste of calories!

Well, it was an interesting weekend. There's a few meals I wasn't too sure of the number of calories but I think I came pretty close. Weigh in on Thursday. Can't wait to see.

Glad you got a refund! This weekend for me was awful calorie wise. We were out on our boat for most of it (non-stop snacking), also my af started and I was starving no matter what I ate. Ah well, back on track!
