Congratulations canuckgirl7 for being our BL this week.
Congratulations also to betteK, sarati, and maryshady WTG!

I am determined to have a much better week. I had more off days than on, and I know I can't continue to do that. I need to stay committed and follow through.

Have a great day everyone

Hello Team Red! Major setback this week for me and I took the hit with a freebie. It was a week of celebrations with both my DH and my birthdays, plus our very rare anniversary on the 29th. Probably a little too much champagne! I'm really working on it this week, I promise.

Congrats to canuckgirl and the other winners! Great job

Hey Red Team
Congrats to canuckgirl7 for being the Biggest Loser this week. Tomorrow morning I'm subbing then in the afternoon I'll go work out. I went to the dr today and she is ok with me quitting my cholestrol medicine and trying diet and exercise for a while. I really want to get healthy so that I won't need to take as much medication. I really want to be able to run in my town's 5k on July 4th, I've been working on the couch 25k program but need to keep at it. It will be easier when I can run outside, but it is too cold and muddy.
I hope everyone is having a great week

Bette, If you are on statins, I applaud you for getting off of them. I have done a ton of research and I just convinced my MIL to get off of them. She was calling her doctor today and asking to stop. What protocol did your doctor give you for stopping (if it is a statin)? I read you shouldn't stop abruptly.

Hi Zogo, I didn't follow any protocol, I just quit taking them and then went to the dr and said it's done. So far so good, my head is getting clearer and my blood sugar has dropped 10 points. I feel so much more alert too. My only problem was triglycerides and I think I can exercise them down.

Ughh, just got the word from MIL that her doctor's nurse called her back and made an appointment for the end of April. Sheesh! AND nobody ever told her to take CoQ10. I'm infuriated by the whole situation. She's got the fuzzy head and muscles are gone. She's down to 105 lbs. If she were my Mother instead of my MIL, I'd have her off of them by now.
Sorry for the sidetrack....thanks for letting me vent.

Hey Red Team! I was VERY surprised to see myself on the mention board.
Congratulations Canuckgirl and our whole team!

I did have a major nsv this week. I was able to get the size 10 jeans I purchased, even more on this time. In addition I have leather mini-skirt, circa 1990, that I can wear comfortably. It is a size 12.
I was using it as a guide but that was fine but now I have loftier, or tinier goals in mind!

Vent away Zogo, when my MIL was put on statins she was in such pain from the begining and SIL and I made her stop, we could find no reason for her to be on them, she was over 90 with really good numbers, but the dr wanted everyone on statins. We need to be strong for our loved ones and stand up for them.

Congrats to all of us for sticking it out another week! Biggest loser twice? Wow, honestly I have been sick for the last two weeks so that probably explains it . Yesterday was not the greatest day in terms of food. I was at a conference and breakfast and lunch were provided. I ate wayyyy too much and will be careful about what I consume for the rest of the week. I haven't actaully made it to the gym yet (due to being sick and trying to unpack my belongings in my new apartment). My goal is to get there tomorrow and Friday.
