No. Novi cleanse. It made me feel vaguely ill all the time and did nothing for me for either reliving constipation or improved loss. Stopped after 10 days and felt better.
Thanks for the reply....ive heard mixed things about it.....I just did week 3 weigh in and I was thinking of the cleanse maybe.....but we barley eat anything and the thought of pooping it all out doesnt sound inviting lol
I personally think it is a sales tactic to get more money. Research shows that cleanses are of limited (if any) use, and there definitely wasn't anything in Dr. Tran's book about a cleanse. But that is just my worthless 2 cents.
I wouldn't waste your money. I take Novi-lax every night and that works just fine for me. I also think the cleanse is nothing more than something else to sell. We really don't eat enough food for there to be an issue. Even the Dr. said in his book that on this diet we have very little waste. Take some Novi-lax if you feel you need it and just drink lots of water. Save your 60.00 and don't buy the cleanse.
I just finished week 4, weighing in later today and was wondering about the cleanse. The idea of possibly losing more weight is appealing, especially becuase the constipation is so bad. But, at the same I don't want to have any cramping from taking something and think for the amount of food we eat, not going everyday seems to be okay. At times, I feel bloated but I am trying to just deal with it and being happy with the losses
I've heard it was a waste of money in other threads too.
My husband (who's also on IP) and I eat tons of lettuce (about 6 cups) for lunch and dinner and we drink a lot of water (150-200oz) and that seems to keep us regular. In my 2nd and 3rd week on IP there were a few days that I used Novi-Lax that did help me when I needed it but for several days afterwards I felt bloated. I haven't used it since and haven't needed it. I think my body just needed time to adjust to this new way of eating.
If you think about it, after being on IP for a couple weeks, your once over-worked digestive system and other organs should be working the way they were meant to be so there shouldn't be really anything backed-up in your system to cleanse out.
I bought the cleanse pills/drink last week and have been running to the bathroom pretty consistantly since! I am now going to cut back to taking them once a day and not two (not great running to the bathroom when I am at work!).
I did lose 2.8 lbs this week - which is a good week for me!
I decided against it after reading through various threads on here. My biggest reason was someone said the kidney and liver are doing what they do naturally which is to clean the body of toxins and we shouldn't need a cleanse to do it for us...That helped me make up my mind. I'm just not convinced a cleanse is right for me... Good luck in whatever you choose.
I have not heard great things about IP's cleanse but I do an occasional cleanse. I'm doing one from Advocare right now. I honestly do them when I need to get my habits back on track. The cleanse period gets be back focused. I do usually feel better afterwards, but I can't say it's because I have 'cleansed' or because I'm eating the way I should. If you are following IPs plan faithfully and things are moving regularly for you, I wouldn't waste money.
Yes or No and why??? Have you had good results?? Which cleanse did you use? Thanks guys!!!!
I got talked into doing the cleanse because I struggle with constipation ALL the time. I have to say, while I have gone to the bathroom regularly since being on it (just finishing up my 2nd week) I have felt bloated and have had a constant gut ache. My weight has been all over the place, and I did not have a big loss this week (I lost 4, but my average is 6). I think it's a waste of money, but I'm doing the full 2 weeks to see if it will help me stay regular when I'm finished with it. If it doesn't, I'll be going back to senna tablets as needed!
I used the Novi Cleanse from IP for 15 days. The first 2 days, I felt very cleaned out and then it finally stopped. I lost 1 1/2 pounds that week, which was a big loss for me. It did not make me regular, I still take my miralax every morning. I have enough to do another 15 day cleanse but will wait for a few months or not at all.
