Default 2nd week stall?

Good morning!

I have a question.
Our official weigh in is on Mondays.
We have both been on plan the whole time, no cheats at all, and neither of us have lost anything since Monday?

Is this common? I was really hoping for a good loss for week 2!
I'm assuming it might be kind of common since it has happened to both of us!

Help!

I lost 6 lbs on week one, that gained one pound back week two. It was SO discouraging after that first week, but I kept with it. It pays off in the end!!

Yes, it happens. You lost almost 6 lbs. the first week right? There is no way that you could have lost 6 lbs. of fat - some of it had to be water. This week, your body is losing fat but it is not being reflected on the scale because you are balancing out your water loss. Realistically, we can only lose about 1-2 lbs. of fat a week. You want to look at your losses over the course of a whole month. Don't get discouraged. The initial loss is motivating, but unreal in many respects.

As you've already heard - very common. Hang in there!

I normally never lose weight on the 2 week of Phase 1- I consider it more the stabilizing week. I do not weight in until Saturday but I am not expecting the scale to move this week, but I lost 6 lbs last week so I am still happy if it stays down.

A lot of us have a tendency to not move at all on the scale for a few weeks and then get swooshes of about 3 or 4 lbs, just keep that in mind for future weeks so you do not get discouraged and keep plugging along. Everyone's body loses weight differently though.

I experienced the same thing on my January re-start. I know if my habits are lose-worthy or not. If I am eating OP and working out, it will come off. Sometimes I lose .2 pounds a day for several days in a row, but sometimes the scale will be still for several days and I'll drop 2.6 pounds overnight. I have to remind myself to be disciplined AND have patience.

I really appreciate the input. Neither of us have ever done this type of plan before, so we had no idea what to expect.
