I did my first ever 5K today! My only goal was to run the whole thing, which would put me at about 37 minutes since I generally run at a 12 min/mile pace. However, I haven't run in the last few weeks at all due to an injury, so I was a little worried.

I finished at 37:32, though I did have to end up walking for a few minutes after the first and second mile because I kept running faster than I meant to. My first mile was 9 minutes and the second two were at about a 10 min/mile pace, so overall I'm pretty happy, even though I walked for 8 minutes.

Next time, sub 30!

Congratulations, i also did my 1st one and it took me 38minutes an believe me i was no runner haha... but yesterday i completed my 2nd 5k in 30 mins so it is sooo possible stick with it.. i am hoping that i just get hooked cos my friend started jogging and the lb just fell off her.. best of luck with the next one
