Default What are your top 10 favorite exercise dvds of all time?

I have been an exercise video nut for as long as I can remember, and a regular at Video Fitness and Collage Video. I am curious, what are your top 10 favorite exercise dvds of all time, and why?

Default Me too!

I'd like to hear what everyone thinks. I have all the Leslie Sansone walking DVDs and the Richard Simmons Sweatin' DVDs. They are fine and I'm doing them so I guess that's something! I do want something that targets my bat wings. Anyone have a plan for the arms that works?

Aphil - First, Congrats on your weight loss!!! I'm also an exercise video addict

I love all the newer Firm DVDs but my all time favorite is the Firm's TransFIRMation system. My second fav is the new FIRM Express Series. I like them because they're quick and because I've seen awesome results from them. Their slogan is that you see visable results in 10 workouts and it doesn't take 10 for me, I see results right away.

Momo - You use hand weights on most of the workouts and you work your arms a lot. They also have a DVD called Jiggle Free Arms but I don't have that one.

I know that they are "old school" but I love everything with Gilad and his sister Ada.

As a poor graduate student a long time ago, I made my own videos by taping multiple gilad aerobic sections one after the other. The video lasts more than 90 minutes if I want to go that long.... It is really fun.

I have also purchased many of their videos. I like the blend of strength training and aerobics.

Anything from Jillian Michaels, Jackie Warner, Jari Love, Turbo fire and Brazil butt lift give you a really good workout. Jackie warner xtreme workout is only 30 minutes and is pretty hard, so is Jillian Michaels ripped in 30, 30 day shred, burn fat boost metabo, 6 week 6 pack etc. All really good. I have so many dvd's but get bored easily so I like to mix it up. I love working out at home =)

P90X and Melt It Off with Mitch Gaylord both are good.

The most workouts I have are by Cathe Friedrich. I absolutely love kick, punch, crunch and low max. When I'm in a workout slump I gravitate to the basic step workout cause it also has a great upper body workout. Newer personalities I like are Chaleane. I love turbo jam and chaleane extreme. I also like Kelly Coffey's 30 minute series. She packs a lot of activity in 30 minutes and often has premixes which helps the workout feel fresh. I'm investigating the new firm express and like the platform they've developed with this series.

I have to agree with Kelly's 30MTF series and her New You Coming DVD. Almost anything by Cathe Friedrich {who just announced a new Low Impact series}. Firm's are also a favorite. Rodney Yee and Jason Crandall {free Yoga Journal downloads} for yoga. Margaret Richard for high rep/low weight work {Body Electric TV shows also}. Belly by Sandra for bellydance exercises {i'm not very co-ordinated, actual dance is beyond me} . Anthony DiLuglio for kettlebells.

And I'm also a member of Video Fitness.

Riemontana, I got my Vidiot start by taping {and I do mean VHS} Cathe's and Gilad's workouts off FitTV.

I just started working out at home so I don't even have 10 workout dvds LOL My #1 favorite is definitely Turbo Jam 20 Minute Workout followed by Cardio Party. I also like Leslie Sansone's WATP but I find them a little boring now after starting Turbo Jam.

Just watched Dancing with the Stars: Dance Off the Pounds. Looks like a lot of fun and like it will burns some mega-calories. Anyone have any experience with that one?

p.s. The other Dancing with the Stars workouts I did not care for.

I like the WATP series but I usually mute the sound and use my own music. I actually seem to walk at a faster pace this way. I suppose I only use the videos as a visual aid, lol! :-)

When I first enter the weight loss land..My fave, high energy, fitness guru is Richard Simmons sweatin to the oldies videos!! During the years during my weight loss efforts, been dancing and sweatin along with that funny/positive man. I collected few of his videos and they are fun on doing!!

Then I also discovered Leslie Sansone, Walk Away The Pounds, walking at home videos..I have only 3 of hers.

I have more of Richard Simmons than Leslie Sansone.

Now am doing Leslie WATP video and once am more better shape..will switch to Richards video.
