Default Atkins and Blood Sugar

I'm just wondering about the effects of atkins on hypoglycemia. I have frequent problems with low blood sugar (i've been tested recently and am not diabetic). Did anyone else have problems with this that resolved after low-carbin' it for a while?

I have hypoglycemia too. The first few days of low-carb were ROUGH. I felt pretty weak and a little dizzy on the first day. After that, though, it has been AMAZING...... all my symptoms of low blood sugar are gone. Literally. It's been incredible. No more crankiness/irritability, shakes and dizziness before meals, mood swings.... nothing. This is what keeps me on low-carb, the weight loss is just a positive side benefit!

Thanks! That's good to know. I tried to start induction today. But my blood-sugar was too low right after breakfast, and I was too scared to go out and spend the day away from home. But hopefully I can try again tomorrow and get it worked out over the weekend. I'm so ready to be done with the shaking and the cold sweating and all that unpleasantness. And I'm sure my BF will be happy too. No more biting his head off just because I waited too long to eat!
