I want to start religously tracking my calories. I use to use The Daily Plate, and I loved it, but then it went to livestrong, and I'm starting to notice that it is kind of pokey and slower than it use to be. Maybe it's b/c more people are using it? At any rate, I have been lax on counting daily.
Which site and method do you use? What do you love most about the site or method you use?
I use Loseit! They make an app for the iPhone/iPod touches. It's awesome and you don't have to have Internet connection to connect to it. They have thousands of preloaded food and you can add your own, create recipes, track weightloss, and check in with your friends. It's cool! You don't have to have an iPod touch or iPhone to use it, just makes it easier on the go!
I use LoseIt too - on my iPod touch. But I have found that I really need to double check the calories on a lot of foods. It's great for restaurant and supermarket foods though! I like having an automatic tracker/calculator with me at all times. Keeps me way more honest and up to date on what I've had.

I was using the free download Calorie Counter by Fat Secret on my Blackberry but once it hit a top 25 free download its just overwhelmed and always locks up so I started using The Daily Plate and its better. Id like something less glitchy but it works for what I really NEED it for. Thinking baout downloading it for my phone so I can use it if Im out. Anyone use the app and have feedback?
I am enjoying Loseit! I like the layout, and it's very easy to navagaite. I have noticed, and I don't know if it's b/c the site is newer or what, but I've had to add a couple of my own foods already, cause they weren't in the search.
I have tried Sparkpeople, lose it, fit day, and the daily plate. My counter of choice is TDP. It sometimes is slow, but it's not like I'm in a huge hurry I guess, in fact I uaully am inputting my food as I eat it, so I have time
I love lose it- it takes all the thought out- recalculating your calorie needs based on your exercise and weight as your weight changes. Some things about it annoy me- you have to spell correctly, and when I am in a hurry, it is easy to typo and it won't guess/correct like most apps do. But it is always within arms reach so it is convenient for me.
