I didn't see anything wrong with the cranberries in the same posting. I think it's a general catch-all thing.

I thought it was a very good FAQ. I wish he had addressed the 29 points thing. I know that even when I was eating 24 points it would now be 29 as are people who were at 18. I'm curious of the new minimum of 29 points is more like the old 24 points or more like the old 18. I suspect it is very close to more like 23 or 24.

Pardon the stupid question, but...is oil truly mandatory? If so, how much oil, and do you count the points for it? I remember oil being a regular thing on Core, but my leader has never brought it up in the past ten months I've been going to meetings.

None of the Good Health Guidelines are totally mandatory. That is why they are called Guidelines. However, they are things that are good for your health and that includes the oils. And, of course, you count the points. I don't know if this varies at different point levels but for me it is 3 servings. Bear in mind that you may already get this through using oil to cook or having a salad dressing with olive oil or so on.

On the Core program, WW wanted you to have two servings of oil at a teaspoon each. That was not counted in because you don't track Core foods. If you used more than that amount of oil in a day, you took the points from the weekly allowance. At least that's how I remember it.

Oh, I can see that. But if counting Points whether old points or new points I believe you count it.

Getting Started Guide on page 64.

Healthy Oils - aim to include 2 teaspoons per day of healthy oils (1 pointsplus value per teaspoon)

You can read the rest on those pages.

Thanks, everyone! I really appreciate the responses. I haven't read all the materials cover to cover. And yes, on the old Core program you didn't count points for those oils. It was kinda nice. ;-) I lost 25 lbs. on Core, though I tried Simply filling a couple of months ago and failed miserably.
