Default Newbie!

Well, I'm not actually new to calorie counting. I did it a few years back for about 6 months and lost a good amount of weight (about 25 lbs). Life got in the way and I stopped, but I'm ready to jump back in. I have to start out with what I have available in my house (unfortunately, lots of processed food right now) because I don't want to throw out and waste food and money. But, after everything is gone, I'll be adjusting my types of food as well as my calorie intake.

I'm using the Daily Plate to track my calorie intake, and it has me eating about 1800/day right now.

I'm starting out with calorie counting and doing some tv-based workouts because I want to start with small changes that I can stick to. Once I have a handle on the counting, I'll start a fitness plan as well.

I'm glad to be here and can't wait to start seeing some results and supporting/getting support from you all!

Oh, and my name is Kayla!

Welcome. I'm new too!

I'm also eating 1800 cals a day and want to weight 150 as well! To be honest, this will leave me 10 lbs. over my goal weight, but I will no longer be obese and 1800 calories a day is downright do-able! I just can't starve or deprive myself anymore like I used to when I was younger. It's not worth it.

This is a great forum.

Welcome Kayla! Sounds like a fab plan you have designed for yourself, I agree on working on one aspect first, getting that down pat before adding another major component. It helps prevent burnout too early in the journey too.
