So I have recently lost 14 lbs in 27 days and def kick up the exercising! My question is can this effect your menstural cycle?? I was supposed to start on the 11th. I have cramping like i'm going to start...........my face already broke out like normal and has already cleared up. my boobs still hurt a little but i thought maybe it was from running........anyone have any ideas??? Please

Both weight loss and weight gain can affect your cycle. In my opinion, this could quite possibly be the cause especially since you've lost so much so fast. Good job btw!

No idea on the questions, but I just had to say I love your quote.

Yup, that same thing happened to me. My period came late and became increasingly sporadic when I first started losing weight. It freaked me out but it eventually went back to normal.

Periods have a mind of their own! They'll do what they want, when they want.

I wouldn't worry about it - sounds pretty normal. Mine are pretty regular, but sometimes if I'm really stressed out they'll be messed up. That goes for weight change/eating habits too.

My period became more regular and moved from around a 30-32 day cycle with 6 days of heavy bleeding and 1 day of spotting, to a 28 day cycle with one heavy day, several normal days, and some spotting to taper it off. My cycle essentially became a lot more normal, and I bleed a lot less.

It also made my ovulation (I chart my BBT) more predictable. Losing weight has been wonderful for my health, including reproductive health

ya, weight loss can most definitly mess with your cycle. It always messes with mine, and my period also messes with my weight too. They kind of go hand in hand.
Dont worry too much about it, but keep track of it so in the future if things are still off you can have an accurate idea of how long its been off and how much and stuff. Just in case.
