Unhappy I hated Phase 1!

Am I the only one who hates Phase 1? I hated being so limited in food choices and I don't think I lost a lot of weight (my scale is very random). I missed breakfasts the most. My typical breakfast is oatmeal and a piece of fruit that I can eat heading out the door. I do not love eggs enough to eat them everyday for two weeks. I cannot wait until I transition on Friday.

I found recipes to help me make it through the phase, but it was not fun or pretty. For the past week, I've eaten bacon for breakfast, sausage and lentil soup for lunch, & a salad for dinner along with a meat. That's it. For dessert (because I really need my sweets), I've done SF jello (which I always do) or a milkshake (fat-free milk, Splenda, crushed ice, and a flavor-usually vanilla).

Did anyone else hate Phase 1 or am I alone? It's okay....really.....

I didn't like it either. And I have done it 3 times! It made me hate eggs too. There are lots of good ideas on here for non-eggy breakfasts. This past week I made the cheesecakes and they were really good. I eat refried beans a lot in the morning, soup sometimes, or leftovers. Think outside the box Lots of great recipes on here for meals too. It helps to try them out. Some are really very good. But what I DO like about PH1 is that it really does help with the cravings and jump start for me. And that makes me more motivated.

Phase 1 is necessary! When u overcome ur carb. longings and hit P2, u'll thank God! I only cheated once on P1 and while I'd love to be 300 right now, I still did good.

It wasn't my fav, and I was motivated to get through it without slipping up. I love having more choices and the memory of my two weeks w/o fruit keeps me on the straight and narrow in P2-I'd prefer not to have to start over!

Good job, though, you're almost through it!

I haven't minded it too much to be honest. I don't like eggs that much either, so I make canadian bacon and even eat salad for breakfast.

Yum, refried beans sound wonderful right now!

Breakfast is what makes phase 1 hard for me, too. I don't care for eggs and I've never enjoyed the ricotta desserts. I don't mind eating the same things more than once a week though, and I found a couple of phase 1 recipes that I really, really loved so that made it easier.

But I'm with Debbie, I don't want to go back to phase 1. I love my oats and my daily yogurt with fruit! And carrots, and sweet potatoes...... lol Phase 1 works great but once is enough for me!

There is a reason why you probably like oatmeal and fruit together. I suspect you get a little rush from all the sugars. Even on Phase 2 you should try to have some protein with each meal. Congrats on getting through it though!

I didn't like Phase 1 either! Although, I do still prefer eggs for breakfast even in phase 2, only because it seems so much more fulfilling than cereal.

The purpose of Phase I is to get those cravings under control and it works if you do a clean Phase I. I don't think anyone liked Phase I!

Now on to your transition into Phase II tomorrow.
