Thank you, Linda Ronstadt!
Yesterday I tried something different. Rather than just passively listen to the gym's overhead music, I put on headphones and listened to my own. I had chosen Linda Ronstadt's greatest hits, and I found it perfect while biking. It helped me pass time that normally would have gone much slower for me, and the rhythms of her music set just the right pace for me. It so happened that the way the songs are ordered on the CD were just right. the slower songs come later, coinciding with cooldown and bridging into the weight training phase.
She's a perfect exercise coach for me. I'm a little sore in places I didn't even know I had places. But she's hired. She's going to keep on helping me work out.
