Smile Gin & Sparkling water!

Thought I'd share this little discovery I made last night..

Was at a wedding, and all day I'd been telling myself, don't drink too much, you'll be hungover on Sunday, it's not worth the calories, you've done so well this week etc etc you know the drill.

Anyway, got to the wedding and had a couple glasses rose, then a friend I was chatting to told me her drink was simply gin and sparkling water. I thought, nah.. must be horrible. I tried hers and surprisingly, it wasn't at all! It was actually quite refreshing. So for the rest of the night that's what I had. Shot gin, and sparkling water, with a slice of orange or lemon.

It's low in calories as you're not having a juice or a soft drink with it but the best thing about it is that you're drinking water too so you're keeping hydrated

I know now what I'll be drinking at weddings or work functions in future

Thanks for the idea! I usually avoid drinking entirely because of the calories, but this'll be good to keep in mind in case of an emergency!

I just checked and a shot of gin is under 80 calories -- so that's really excellent news. Yay for excuses to drink!
