So the title pretty much sums up my dilemma.

I want to try Atkins, a friend of mine who is hypothyroid like me tried it and lost a ton of weight, and my mom is always harping on me to try it.

So where do I begin? What book is THE book to read?

If you're contemplating doing Atkins I can't stress enough the importance of reading the book before you begin the plan. THE BOOK to read is Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution....2002 or prior versions (the newer versions have been "edited" by Atkins Nutritionals Inc. and unfortunately are not true to the plan the way Dr. Atkins wrote it). I would also strongly recommend you stay clear of Atkins.com, if you must refer to a website, Dr. Atkins wife Veronica's would be the best....http://www.veronicaatkinsfoundation.org/
