It can be objectionable if it actually means, "In My Honest Opinion". A lot of people find my opinions "objectionable", but then again, I'm living in UT without being a complete right-winger, so...................

I wasn't correcting. It goes both ways, except in my case. There's nothing "humble" about me, and certainly not my opinions.

My DH was told at work that the new workplace policy was not to use the term "harass" because it sounded too much like "her A$$" to some people, who lodged a formal complaint against the company...
