I'm 5'4", 134-138 lbs., 52 years old, medium frame, and I consume about 1400 cals when losing and 17-1800 to maintain. I usually splurge a bit on the weekends (thus my membership in the 5-10 still to lose group).
I do walk for a living (big dogs) and carry quite a bit of muscle so my calorie intake is a bit higher than some people's.
I count them on my iPod using the Lose It app. It has helped me lose more then 30 pounds. I used to be anal about counting every single calorie and recording it but lately I have laxed on that but I know my limits.
I'm starting to count calories again because a few pounds have crept back on - so I'm 5'4", 132 at the moment, medium frame and 24 years old. I'm aiming for 1800 cals/day. I think I can get away with more calories just because I'm still young! Lucky me! =)
I count and log every day, currently using The Daily Plate.
I'm 5'5.5", 122, well, 125 today, with all the water and sugar I ate this weekend, but 121.5 on Friday, so lets say 122 for real, small frame, 36 years old. I target 1900-1950 calories with the occasional high day bringing my weekly average to around 2000 most weeks. TDP says 1830 for my age & height at a sedentary activity level. I exercise a lot, so I'm not realy sedentary but I leave it set on that. I'm also still trying to find my balance - I actually lost for the last two weeks, until this weekend.
I counted calories carefully while I was losing weight. I ate about 1400-1600 a day (without any "treat" meals).
Now that I'm maintaining, I ballpark/estimate my numbers, but I still "count" every day. My goal is 1800-2000 calories a day with a weekend "treat" meal.
I am very new to maintenance and trying to find this balance myself; when I stopped trying to lose I was eating about 1700-1900 calories a day and exercising 4-5x/wk and kept losing. I think I can eat about 2000 calories a day with my exercise schedule (1hr a day at least 4x/wk at 80% maximum hr) and maintain, but we shall see.
I am a 24yo female, just under 5'5", 140lbs, small-medium frame
