Default Labor Day Challenge - Week One Check In

Okay... so let's check in at some point this week. We'll say the challege started on the 4th since that's when the last one ended.

So, just 5 days into it... but here are my goals and how I did:

1). Lose 10 pounds by Labor Day

** Down 1.5 so far.....

2). Limit alcohol consumption to 4 drinks a week (usually it's 4 a month, but it's the summer!)

**Didn't happen. I drank a total of 11 drinks this week. AGH! Better next week.

3). Weight train 3X per week

** I did streangth strain 3X already and plan to tonight also.

4). Swim 4X per week

Have swam, have swum (??) 3 times so far... and tomorrow will make it 4X


ADDITION - last week I didn't journal and I would like to add that to my list of goals during the challenge.

** Journaling today so far!

Oh Lisa, Iwas too ashamed to post because of all of my weekend naughtiness. It was so tough with a houseful and going out to eat a lot and putting up with people I don't care much for...and would you listen to all of my excuses? Ok, ok, no more....we begin anew each day, and that is what I will do! No more excuses!

I'll join in!

Here's my goal: 11.8 pounds, from today's 181.8 to 170.

Also, to go to the gym at least three times a week, to keep upping the intensity on the treadmill and drinking more water!

I'm horrible. I actually got on the scale and it made it look like I'm up 7# - I know I've got water this week but that made it look bad. So this week starts anew because I didn't journal this weekend I just ate. but, I have journaled this week and 2 aerobics classes so far (goal being 3 and plans to go friday) and I will WI on saturday!

Default My week...

Well, my goals for the challenge were:

1) Lose 10 lbs--

Didn't make any progress toward this, but stayed exactly where I was last week.

2) Go to the gym 3x a week and do an additional form of exercise 3x a week.

I successfully accomplished this by making it to the gym 3x, doing Pilates a couple times and walking twice.

3) Drink more water!

Haven't done so well with this, but the ice machine at work is broken and that's where I drink most of my water.

So 1 out of 3 isn't so good, but it could've been a whole lot worse. No complaints here.

Jayne... I was naughty too... 11 drinks! Chicken quesadillas, and maybe I didn't mention before but I had chocolate ice cream with chocolate chunks in it on the 4th of July... ooohh so good. And no, not a hlaf cup or even a full cup serving... it was probably like 2 cups! I'm guessing like 14 points.

No drinks this week so far... but then again, it is only Wednesday. agh!

Exclamation Too Late to start?

Okay, I wanna join the Labor Day Challenge!
My goal?

1) Reach my 10%... which is um, 15.8 more pounds.


2) Go to the gym at least 3x per week. Or at least doing 3x cardio and 3x WT.

3) Resist eating out (and the naughty Chik-Fil-A IceDreams)


4) Only drink alcoholic drinks once a week, and limit to 5 (or just 5 per week total) -- and if I am drinking, to alternate with water.


5) Not eat later than two hours before bedtime


Okay.. those are my goals! Maybe a little late, but I'm going to catch up!

Ok, here's my progress so far:

Lose 15 pounds -WI Saturday, will let you all know how it goes!
Aerobic exercise 3x a week, eventually want it to be 45 minutes each time. So fat this week I've had two 45 minute walks and 1 30 minute run/walk. Another run/walk planned for tomorrow morning so I'm on track there
Weights 3x a week- so far have only done one time, planning on doing another tomorrow and then once over the weekend.
fit into my skinny jeans- this is not happening until I get closer to that 15 pound loss! I will try them on when I get under 155 and let you all know if I can even zip them!

Also, I would like to add keeping my food journal EVERY day to my list, since I have been crummy about that lately.

My goals were:

1) Lose 10lbs

I lost 3 this week.

2) ST 3X per week and practice Yoga 2X per week.

I did the ST but didn't practice yoga.
