Carla - I'm glad the breakfast at work went well. Sorry to hear about the lunch but it sounds like you had a good plan. Did you manage to fill up on the low point soup?

Karen B - Wow - you had a great day of exercise. Good for you for getting that water in. I find with journalling that if I don't write it when I eat it, I tend to um, "forget" some things ;-)

The party was absolutely wonderful. My father was totally surprised and was so glad to see everyone who came - he was really touched. He was raving about it all yesterday. It was a great day - the weather was perfect and everyone had fun (including Tony and I). I didn't do badly foodwise on Saturday but I didn't do so well drink-wise and yesterday was a bit of a loss - there was leftover chopped antipasto (yummy) that we had too much of and we didn't throw out the cake that was left. I think I sort of "dove in" because I was feeling sorry for myself because my knee has not really improved. Oh well, that was yesterday. Today is another day (and a low/no carb day too).

I had a wonderful weigh-in on Saturday morning - I lost 1.6 pounds to bring my total to 9.4! My goal now is to make sure that this week is a good one - I'd like to get to 10 pounds lost - considering the weekend though and that TOM will be any day now, I'll settle for a maintain.

Have a great one!

Good Morning! Wow, things are finally going to be back to normal at work I hope. Have spent more time "working" not in the office than in.

Judy and Carla and Karen-seems you guys have been holding down the fort, thanks for that.

Had our last soccer game yest. (for a short time anyway) and we won, so they are State Champs. Yeah!! Seems to make and the time and $$ and traveling worth while. Now comes all the tryouts so it never really ends. Nevermind with all the rain we have been having we will be making up Baseball games into July!!

Weight wise? things ok I guess, I will weigh in for 1st time since I made Lifetime today, and I am NOT bringing $10, so hopefully I wont need it.

I wish you all a wonderful Monday!

Hi everyone.

Oh, my gosh. I lost a week of my life somewhere between work and home....juggling all which needed to be done. Ugh. I tried to keep up with the posts, but am now going back to print it out and read while I eat my lunch.

Good thing is I'm still on plan and am hoping to get my reward on the scale tonight.

Hi everyone.

Judy - I'm glad to hear that the party went well, the weather cooperated, and you and Tony managed to enjoy yourselves as well. Sorry to hear about the run in with the leftovers, but it's over and done with. Congratulations on a terrific loss, both on Saturday and overall. You'll hit 10 pounds off in no time.

Michele - Good to see you again. Congrats to Bobby on his team making state champs! Good luck at your weigh-in today. I'm sure you will not have to pay the $10.00.

Angie - Good to see you again too. Gosh, I hope things slow down for you soon. I know you'll have great results at the scale to report tomorrow.

I had a pretty good weekend - very low key. The buffet at the Polish restaurant was very good. I took tastes of a lot of things, but left comfortably full, not stuffed. I got lots of water in, so that helped. I just got done with one of those new Sweet Onion Chicken Teriyaki sandwiches at Subway. Very good an very filling. Gotta love Subway. TOM is any day now so I'm going to try to get in extra water over the next couple of days. I'm aiming for 10 glasses a day.

Have a great day everyone.

Hi Everyone

Judy - congratulations on your TERRIFIC loss! Yippee! It's been a while since the scale has been that good to you. Glad all went well with the party, and that the weather cooperated. Hoope the knee picks up soon.

Michele - we've missed you! Yay for Bobby & his team! Good positive thinking not taking that $10 with you!

Angie - we missed you too last week! Good luck with your weigh in tonight.

Carla - good for you for exercising control at the restaurant! The sub sounds yummy; will have to give one a try.

Took Saturday off as a "free day", although didn't go nuts with it! We went to the racetrack and made a few dollars, then to the casino and lost them all...good thing we're not big gamblers! This morning I joined a gym. It's only ten minutes away, and is en route home from work, so I'm planning to go there lots. Wednesday I have an appointment with a trainer to get some advice and instruction. I'm hoping adding some weight training will kickstart the loss again!

Talk to you all tomorrow!

Michele - Congratulations to Bobby on being a part of the state championship team! I hope your weigh in went well.

Angie - sorry to hear that things have been so crazy. I hope your weigh in goes well tonight.

Carla - Glad to hear that you managed so well at the buffet. How many points is the chicken teriyaki sandwich? I have to see if there is a subway near work - just for a change once in a while. Sounds like we're on the same schedule with TOM. I hope to get some lemon juice in my water the next few days. I can feel the bloat already - although I know some of it is from that chopped antipasto!

Karen B - Congratulations on your win at the track - sorry you gave it back though. Way to go on joining the gym!! I second the idea of getting some weight training in - it's so good for you even without it kickstarting your metabolism. Yup, it has been a LONG time since the scale was so good to me.

I had a good day so far - it's been pretty busy at work but I think the no/lo carb day should help with my snacking. I'm almost ready to go outside and deadhead some roses. It's a lovely day today (sunny, 80 and dry) but it's supposed to get HHH starting tomorrow - yuk, I hate humidity.

Where is everybody today??

Judy - hope you enjoyed your time in the garden yesterday! I've been busy planting, weeding, watering, etc. Love this time of year.

Had a run in with some chocolate covered almonds last night. The neighbour's kids were selling them to raise $ for their softball team. Mike bought two boxes. There are none left. Augghh! I hate it when I do that!

Today is a new day. On track so far, had 4 waters already. Been out with the dogs, and am going to head out into the garden to give all my pots and planters some fertilizer. Gotta love this being on holiday at home.

Have a good one!

Hi all.

Karen B - Good for you for joining a gym. Sounds like you had fun on Saturday. Losing money at the casino isn't all that bad if it's money you won at the track. Sorry to hear about your run in with the chocolate covered almonds. Those are definitely an "eat one, eat them all" food for me. You're right - today is a new day. Keep on enjoying your holiday at home. I can't wait until mine starts.

Judy - The chicken teriyaki sandwich at Subway is 7 or 7.5 points depending on how you want to count it. A little pricy, point-wise, for lunch, but considering you get in your protein and a veggie serving (I had them load mine up with veggies), not a bad deal. I hope you enjoyed your humidity free weather yesterday. We've had big rainstorms yesterday and today. It's sunny now, but definitely humid. Like you, I hate the humidity.

Serenity - Basically you get ahold of the WW materials by either buying the WW at Home package or doing an on-line membership (more about both at www. weightwatchers.com) and follow the program on your own. This group of wonderful women provides excellent support. Hope you can join us.

Pat and Karen C - Stop by and say hi.

Well, I got in my 10 glasses of water yesterday and I think the only thing I accomplished by doing so was to retain that much more water. I'm out of lemon juice at home - need to go to the store tonight, buy a bottle, and drink it straight. TOM started today, so hopefully I'll lose some of this water, but it doesn't look hopeful for the scale tomorrow. I had the oddest, specific craving yesterday. (Isn't PMS grand?) Do you remember the little nut cups you used to get at showers? It would be peanuts (usually Spanish), M&Ms, gum drops, maybe some butter mints. I was craving that combo in the worst way possible. Where in the h*ll did that come from?

Have a great day everyone.

Hi All,

Another quiet day here at the boards!

Carla - That is a STRANGE craving!!! Sounds quite yummy though. My cravings are generally of the chocolate variety, much more mundane...good for you for getting all that water in. Hope the retention doesn't last long; last week my rings were so tight they wouldn't budge, and a couple of days later they were just about falling off!

Serenity - the package must be at the WW website; can't imagine where else you'd find it. I'm just using the stuff I had from a few years ago when I attended meetings.

I weighed in plus 1 pound today, thanks in no small part to the chocolate covered almonds, I'm sure. Had a great time rowing last night, and I'm looking forward to my session with a trainer at the gym at noon.

Have a great day, everyone.

Hi all.

Serenity, the WW website should have info on the at home package.

Karen - Sorry to hear about your gain. Darn those almonds. You'll have it back off in no time. The water retention is still with me. More on that in a second.

News flash - You'll recall I went into raptures a few weeks ago about the Skinny Cow Sundae cups and fudge bars. Found out from a post on the general thread that they've stopped production of the sundae cups until the fall when they can move manufacturing to a new plant. Seems the current plant is inconsistent with the weight of the cups. And the calorie info on the fudge bars was incorrect. With the correct calorie count, they're 2 points instead of one. (Still a good deal in my book.) So if any one was conducting a mad hunt for the sundaes, you can stop now.

Well, my weigh in this morning was just ridiculous. I knew it was going to be bad when I caught a look of myself in the mirror and realized I looked like I was in my ninth month of pregnancy with triplets. The scale was up 3.4 pounds. I'm not even recording my weight this week. It's water. It will come off. I won't consider myself as having a loss next week unless I get below my weight from last week. I just refuse to count this water as weight. I hate TOM and I hate water retention.

Ok, I've been the bluebird of happiness haven't I.

Have a great day everyone on this truely waterlogged Wednesday.

Hang in there, Carla! You'll be spending the next couple of days in the bathroom losing all that water! Next week we'll both be losers!

Good Morning! My you have all been so busy!

Carla-I guess I am fortunate that I do not like nuts, but I do love chocolate. Sorry about the gain, but I am sure with TOM and the water it will be gone next week. I have found the SkinnyCow sundaes but never bought them, I do love the fudge bars though, they seem worth the 2 points. As for the lemon juice I only use fresh lemons, don't know if it makes a difference but I think I heard it somewhere about preservatives hindering the effects, could just be bull

Karen-That rowing sounds fun. I have got to get my but moving, all these soccer tryouts I have been going to are on my Jazzercise nights and I don't have the time to go a different night. I can't wait untill all these sports are done and I can get right back on track. Your time off gardening sounds great too, we have had so much rain lately everytime I find a minute it is pouring out.

Judy-Great loss this week, I am sure you will make that 10 pounds this Sat.

Angie, Karen, Pat hope all is well.

Welcome Serenity!!

Hoping to get things back to normal at work soon and homelife too. Steve is going to TN the end of the month for a long weekend and I cant wait for some ME time. Lounge by the pool, soak in the hottub, no sports, no chores, Nothing I dont want to do. The following week my inlaws will be down from Canada and my stress will be through the roof, so I will have to enjoy while I can. LOL

Have a great day!!
