Default fyi - new lean cuisine *BIG PORTIONS*

A lot of time I eat a frozen meal for lunch.. sometimes I am just too lazy or rushed to make a salad to go with it and then am still hungry later - I find the portions really small.

I just found Lean cuisine *hearty portions meal* they are a bit bigger
today I had the "roasted turkey breast with gravy, cornbread stuffing and veggies" for 6 points. Plus I got to count 2 veggies!!!

Just thought this info would help someone ...

Thanks for sharing this. I agree on the portion size of some of the frozen meals. I'll have to see if the hearty portion dinners are available in Canada yet.

I eat the lean C 5 pointers.. and add a fruit cup for 1 point, and an apple sauce. for a total of 7 point lunch.. Very filling if I may say so myself..

also, no 'prep' time involved execpt for putting it into a bag.

Dana,

Have you tried any of their bowl's yet? They are great! You have to try the Three Cheese Stuffed Rigatoni - 6 points it is awsome. It is VERY filling. You can see what products they have by going to http://leancuisine.com/goodfood/search_results.asp

They sound yummy. I am going to look for them. I would use these for dinner when the rest of the family is out.

As with any frozen or packaged food, be aware of the sodium content.

Default WW General

Good afternoon (EST) all,

I am wondering if anyone knows the mathematical formula for figuring points. I entered a whole recipe i.e. 1 3/4 C all-purpose flour, 1/3 C sugar, etc. I entered recipe on FitDay.com in their FOOD category.

The totals are waaayyy beyond the POINTSfinder's capabilities.

Please Help!

Giraffe, do you have WW Food Companion book? Figuring out the points per serving of a recipe is as easy as looking up each ingredient, totalling the points for the recipe, then dividing the total by the number of servings it provides.

Ex: 1 cup of white flour = 9 points so 1 3/4 cups = 15.75 points
1 cup white sugar = 15 points so 1/3 cup = 5 points

A recipe that totals 48 points and serves 6 would be 8 points per serving.
