This is a very individual thing - you are going to have to figure it out for yourself unfortunately. If I exercise within two hours of eating, I *will* throw up. Others need something just before they start or need a snack while exercising or they will run out of energy. I don't think anyone exercises after eating a full meal though!
You could try a small snack of something like yogurt or a handfull of dried fruit or nuts beforehand, and see if that makes you sick or if you run out of energy, and adjust from there.
