I love my mayonaise, I have switched to low fat but even that is full of calories. Does anybody have any ideas on some substitutions, or any commercial mayos that are really low in calories?
I just use regular Miracle Whip. It has 40 calories per tablespoon. I know it doesn't taste like real mayo but it has less than half the calories so I live with it. I hate low fat/fat free dressings.

nayonaise has 35 calories per tbsp and 10 calories per tbsp for the fat free version. Its pretty decent but I've never been a big mayo fan so I only use a tiny bit. They also have a dijonaise style nayonaise that is 30 calories per tbsp.
I get the olive oil mayo by kraft it's 45 cals for two tablespoons! which to me isn't too bad and the great thing it tastes like real mayo!!!! I hate ligth mayo it just doesn't taste right.. but the olive oil mayo tastes great and is much healthier the best foods regular mayo i used to get was 90 cals per one tablspoon! so this has been a much better option for me!
I too hate ff mayo. I can tolerate lf but then I tried the olive oil mayo by Best Foods (or Hellman's on the east coast - same thing), and it tastes like mayo! I think it's 50 cals as opposed to the 45 Maria listed for the Kraft version (which our grocery doesn't carry). I still don't eat it a lot, but 50 cals and olive oil is quite doable.
I will have to check these out, I don't like the ff either. I have stopped using it on anything other than my tuna salad and egg salad but I tuna 2 to 3 times a weeks and egg salad at least once a week so any savings will help. I have never heard of nayonaise, what is that?
ewww nayonaise is a vegan alternative to mayo- it's made with soy and some other stuff... and I tried it- just cant get on board with it..LOL... I keep trying vegan options like boca burgers, morning star, etc... and it jsut doesnt do it for me.. which is too bad Because I would LOVE to be a vegetarian! I hate the fact that I eat animals
but....the olive oil mayo tastes JUST like real mayo! you cant tell there's any difference! that's what I love about it!
I too love Best Foods/Hellman's light mayonnaise, it has 35 calories per tablespoon. They also have a reduced-fat mayonnaise which only has 20 calories per tablespoon. Depending on what you are going to use it for, some people swear by Dijonnaise, which only has 12 calories per tablespoon or perhaps you can make your own ranch dressing using a dry seasoning packet, 1% milk and light or reduced fat mayo. I think this tastes great and prefer it over full fat prepared/store bought ranch dressing. I sometimes use the ranch dressing on my turkey sandwiches instead of mayo.
this may sound odd, but i use a mashed-up avocado. (miracle whip scares me.) i know all your dishes will come out bizarely green, but it's good on sandwichs or in tuna salad. :]
