I'm back and a whopping net three pounds heavier than when I left. Holiday weight gain FTW! (And holidays start in October for us and end in January so HA. i mean, gah, six more weeks of gorging.. sigh.)
However, there is a PLAN this year. It starts a little something like this:
1) no fried food or soda.
Sounds hard, doesn't it ? Well, not so much. The Boy is an excellent cook and we make fish/or egg/or chicken almost every night. Eating out has gone from a 5 day a week thing to a 1 day a week thing. And I've already lost 4 pounds of Holiday Weight Gain.
And I *like* drinking water.
Of course, I did have bad caffeine withdrawal at first (more tea.now.) but now I have more energy than I ever did - just by cutting those things out! So I'm doing the whole positive feedback cycle thing and going to a **dance class** on Mondays now.
There's more to the plan but it comes in later months. Right now starting simple, and I *will* hit my goal this year !
Oh, and I gave up and am measuring in pounds again. Need to change it in my profile. I have to keep switching the scale because The Boy measures in pounds. Figured I'd just do the same (plus they go faster
