Default Feels like I'm overeating when "On Plan"

How stupid is this! My mind needs to quit playing games with me. I am being very good about planning everything ahead of time, and staying on plan. One of my super bad habits is not eating anything until dinner time, I have done that the majority of my life and look where it gets me!

So anyway, back to my mind games......... I keep telling myself (you know those 'voices') that I am over eating. Sheeshh, like those 10 counted out carrots at 3pm is going to put on 2 pounds! But it seems like I barely get one meal done, get a little work done, and it is time for my snack.......

Menu;
7am juice of one lemon and cup of hot water (part of 7 day detox)
9am old fashioned oats, 1 TBL peanut butter, half banana
10:30 20 almonds
12:30 3 cups salad and tuna or chicken breast
3pm 10 baby carrots, low fat ranch
6pm protien (chicken, turkey, or fish) 3 servings veggies, whole grain (ww pasta, brown rice, 12 grain roll etc)
8:30 1 cup vanilla yogurt, 3/4 cup honey bunches of oats.

So dont you agree that it should start my deader than a doorknob metabolism kick started? The detox is cleansing all the caffine and simple carbs and such out of my system, working on water retention and the like.

SO I dont know why my 'voices' (ahhh come on you know you have them too!) are telling me I am over eating! Sheeesh, I had to add the yogurt in the evening to get enough calories! My target is an average of 1700 a day through the week, I will get more serious into the calorie cycling after this 7 day detox.

That looks to be absolutely perfect. It's all good stuff. I reckon if you continue to eat like that, you'll lose weight nice and steadily.

Sometimes we get under the impression that we have to eat almost nothing to be successful at weight loss. Please, don't let your mind trap you like that. Listen to your body. For eaxample, you really shouldnt have hunger pangs on a diet. Don't deprive yourself of food JUST stay away from the wrong kind of food. I think you are well on your way and making healthy choices! Keep up the good work! You will see results soon enough.

I'm at work, sorry if this is rushed or misspelled! You can totally do this!!!

This thing really is 90% mental. Your plan looks fine...maybe even a little light.

Trust your body to follow the laws of nature. Once you see the scales start to move, you will get plenty of positive reinforcement.

I think your plan looks good, but I know exactly where you're coming from re: the voices!

You are not overeating. You are not overeating. You are NOT overeating.

It sounds like a sensible plan. Really it does. Just STICK with it. Creating a calorie deficit WILL produce weight loss.

How are you doing with exercise? That can really help move things along - which is a good thing.

You're doing great! Don't let your psyche get the best of you. In fact, everytime you have a freakout moment, just come on here and have some fun. See you soon!

I felt the EXACT same way when I started. I was ALWAYS EATING!!! You get used to it I have my three meals and three snacks and yes, am eating every 2.5 - 3 hours. But you will find that it keeps your tummy full and the cravings at bay.

Sounds like one of the best "newbie" plans I've seen in a while! Good job!

That is exactly what I used to do. My husband would come home from work and I had been home with the kids all day and hadn't eaten anything. I'd be so sick and ready to pass out and he'd ask if I had eaten anything. "Oh, duh, maybe that's why I'm so sick"
Somebody here said that that is how sumo wrestlers gain weight, not eating all day and then binging because of being so hungry. I didn't know I was on the sumo wrestler's diet all those years

I have the voices too. That is one reason I love thedailyplate so much. It's right there in black and white for me to see how much I've eaten. Tell the voices to shut up and feed your body good, healthy food. your plan looks great to me.
