What's everyone's plan for new years eve, any one worried about food at parties?
I'm having a party - and scared about the food. I'm getting lots of veggies and fruit though, in addition to other snacks... so that'll be my armor against everything else!
he asked what i wanted to do - i dont want to be around a bunch of loud drunk people, i dont want to drive around looking for parking, i dont want to have to dress up... i just want a kiss at midnight.
so - we're staying home in pj's, we'll watch the ball drop from our living room.
I am going clubbing in downtown Vancouver with a girlfriend. But I'm making sure to eat a nice healthy but filling dinner before hand, so that I don't drunkenly want fast food at 2 am.
I am FREAKED out about the food!! We have dinner reservations with friends tonight at a steakhouse, home of the "deep fried onion" appetizer with the deadly dipping sauce! LOL I heard they have a really good steak salad though. ( Hey I can splurge a little ) After that, it's wherever the night takes us!
Me and my other half will stay home... we're pretty quiet people and we don't drink at *all* (recovery from addiction) so we keep it pretty low key on NYE!
I was invited to a family friend's house for the night. It would be me, my parents, and the family friend's family. It's always a good time over there (my mom and their mom have been best friends since they were five years old, so they're almost like a second family to me). However, I'm kind of lazy and have been all day. It's snowing right now and has been all day....and I don't really feel like showering and getting ready! haha So, I might stay home and watch movies or something. We'll see....
I'm going to my sister in law's to play our new wii! We were supposed to go to a house party in london but that got canceled so we made other plans. I'm excited! Now there's no pressure to drink and I won't feel sick tomorrow!! yesss!
Not the best way to start off the new years, but honestly, tonight is out the window... Plan on consuming lots of empty calories in alcohol and alcohol leads to eating empty calories in food...
But this is a rare occasion, so I'm giving myself a little leaniency... especially because I stayed within my calorie limit on both Thanksgiving and Christmas... So nows my time to consume those horrible empty calories.... lol
