I just posted my profile in the top sticky, but I also wanted to say hi here.
My current weight loss goal is to reach 180 pounds, just a tad over 100 from where I am currently (283). It's a starting place for me, but even a start can make a huge difference.
I've been reading around some, especially looking at the goal and mini-goal pictures, and I just want to say how inspired I've been from everyone here. It's amazing to look at huge goals and small ones and see how people have changed. What's amazed me even more is just the difference even 30 pounds can make for the face and frame. It's incredible, and you guys are doing it every day. If that's not enough to choose to make a difference, I don't know what is.
Truthfully, I know personally what a difference 30 pounds can make. My one successful attempt at losing weight, I went from then highest 230 to 205, and I maintained the 205 for several months after falling off the diet/exercise routine. That's also around when I met my husband, a foodie and an excellent cook with a high metabolism. We've spent far too long enjoying food and gaining weight. He's begun to realize his metabolism is changing, plus he has high cholesterol, and my weight is taking a tole on my health as well as I'm on the verge of being diagnose with pre-diabetes. It is my hope that with the motivation of each other and from this forum, we change make a huge change in our lives for the better.
Hey, welcome. You can do this. You are lucky to have a foodie for a hubby. Just think of all the wonderful things he will be able to create for your new life! Glad you are here.
