Default What changes have you discovered in your body?

That you think have to do with losing weight? I mean besides of the obvious (being smaller, fitting clothes better, better condition etc).

I have found this great suppleness that makes moving a joy in itself. It goes all so easy. I should have started exercising much much earlier. Oh well, I guess I appreciate it even more now . Also, I used to have much trouble tieing my shoelaces without something to put my foot on, and picking stuff off the ground. I guess my belly was in the way and that it was harder on me being in such a position. That is over now. I also have less hurty feet when I have to stand long. My skin has become oilier for some reason, or maybe that has to do with the winter season? And for some reason it seems like my bladder capacity has enlarged to what it used to be before I started losing weight. It almost seems like I have less fat pressing on it.

Have you also experienced this, or totally different changes? I'm curious

I'm already more flexible, and I enjoy moving around more.

I rarely break out on my face anymore, and my scalp is alot less oily. My nails grow longer faster, though I seem more prone to hangnails. I'm alot more flexible, and I can sit straight longer than before.

I found new bones!

I.e... the clavicle... the ASIS ("hip")- I never knew they would protrude as much, under all of my ...stored energy

My knees don't hurt walking up the stairs anymore, i can pick my kids up and swing them all around too. I am way more flexible, i used to never be able to touch my toes, now i can.
I also see muscle, like in my arms and legs, and that rocks.

Ooh, yeah, the muscles indeed I "discovered" my biceps today. I was like "No way... I have visible muscles in my arms? This can't be true!"

After 5 months I finally have my TOM back... Not that that's something to celebrate but my doctor was worried about it...

My nails are whiter, and haven't been breaking as much...

And now when I see my body in profile, even when I'm relaxed, I no longer look pregnant. Just a little round tummy instead of a "Dear god, ma'am, are you 8 months along?" stomach.

Also, when I wandered across my room this morning in the midst of getting dressed, I stretched and got a glimpse of myself in the mirror. And I saw RIBS!!! Not like.. gross, anorexic her-ribs-are-protruding-disgustingly-from-her-body, but just.. that they're no longer covered in a layer of fat too thick for them to peek out occasionally when I reach upwards.

I was having a great deal of difficulty using my left arm -- I had shoulder surgery earlier this year, and even after four months I could barely raise my hand high enough to grip the squat machine bar. I had to do weights low enough that I didn't really *need* my left hand holding the bar.

Now I'm doing 90# on the bar. And my left hand is fully gripped on.
