Question Why does The Daily Plate......

Add calories to your daily intake when you have entered your exercise? Sorry, I think its been asked before but I cannot find it on the board. Obviously this cannot be correct if you're trying to lose weight right?

Just ignore that. The tracker tells you to eat back your exercise calories, but most people just eat whatever their baseline is, and ignore TDP's attempt to have you eat back what you've burned. Sort of defeats the purpose, doesn't it?

I haven't tracked on Daily Plate for a long time, but do they still tend to overestimate a person's daily caloric needs also? Otherwise, I like the format of their site and the database is incredible!

I use calorie king, and it does the same thing. I think the allowance they give you is what you need to eat in order to lose weight without exercise and therefore they add it back in like FiberLover said. I like to see the calorie deficit at the end of the day. It's a psychological pump me up.

Does it? That's so weird! I had a Daily Plate account at one time (I think ) but I never used it. The 'making up the difference' explanation makes sense, I guess (not to me, but I'm sure to someone). I personally am in lub with my fitday. I'll have to keep an eye on it and see if it's doing strange things like that.
