Talking Okay. I'm a weirdo!

Hi everyone,

I started my journey in earnest on August 1st. I am so overwhelmed by what I've found and learned here at 3FC. I have never -ever- felt like I could be successful with weightloss. For the first time in my life... I just know I'm going to do it. I know it. And, I'm just so excited, I can barely contain myself.

I've lost my first ten pounds, but my real first goal was to stay at this site long enough to get a signature. To be honest, this is the longest I've ever stuck to any program. And, I didn't know back on August 1st if I'd still be coming here. But, I have. And, I am.

So, this is my very first post WITH a signature. It feels like a huge thing, so I hope it's okay that I posted here.

Next goal? Okay. Baby steps are good for me. Onederland. That's my next goal. One goal at a time is how I'm going to get this thing done.

Thanks to everyone who contributes here... I'm so grateful I found this place.

Congratulations, congratulations, congratulations!

Congratulations for starting. I think that may be the most difficult part of all.

Congratulations on 10 lbs! Pick up a 10 lb bag of whatever sometime, and feel it in your hand and know that you're not carrying it around anymore. Talk about inspirational.

Congratulations on your ticker, too!

Keep up the good work!

You're NOT a weirdo. You've lost 10 pounds, you're on your way to your goal and success, and you're EXCITED! You should be. Congrats!

Thank you so much EarthShaker! I just went out to the kitchen to look for something that weighed ten pounds! I got it approximately and I'm so glad it's not on *me*!

And.. countingdown... somehow I recall reading you and seeing your pictures on one of the first days I came here... you just look so amazing and have been a huge inspiration to me. Thank you so much for coming in to congratulate me!

You're no weirdo or if you are, there's a lot of us weirdos here. That was one of my big deals too in the beginning. You could be writing my story. I too never felt weight loss was something i'd be able to consciously make happen but it's been thru the support i've gotten here that i've had the success i've had.

You have much to be proud of!! Keep up the good work

And did i mention ??

Isn't it fantabulous? Just Friday I noticed there were 12 lb balls at the gym (have no idea what they're for). I picked it up and it felt heavy. When I realized I had lost over 3 of those this year, I was dancing.

Do it again when you hit 15

Thank you so much! This weight loss journey has taught me so much about myself. I sort of feel I'm along for the ride, and it's great.

It just keeps getting better and better, and I can't want to hear more of your success.

Yeah look at what the 10 pound is but look in the meat case in the grocery store. I'm sure you can look at a couple large roasts and that's really what you lost. Well hopefully more fat than meat but you get the idea.

Now that I am down about 50 I say I lost a 7 year old kid not on me anymore.
