I get so angry! I post a legit post on there and I am flagged! It happens all the time, not just to myself, but to others! Just because folks have that "flag:" option does not give them the right to flag just because!

Some idiots must have nothing better to do!

Now mind you, there are a fair amount of spams that are not allowed, that should be flagged, but I've seen a lot of legit posts, as more than one of mine, be flagged and removed.

I've learned to just repost if mine gets flagged and I genuinely believe I haven't broken any of the CL rules. Some people just have a bee in their bonnet, but they might skip over you the next time. I flag a lot on my local CL as I don't think that many others do, and there are a ton of miscategorized and spam posts hanging around.

Do you know of the flag help forum? A bunch of users hang out in there, and you can give them the details of your post. They will be able to tell you if you accidentally broke some rule that set someone off and how to fix it - they aren't CL staff or anything but are a good group of people who seem to know the rules.

CL is finicky.

I work with an animal rescue group and we get flagged all. the. time. for posting our animals. It tends to go in spurts, one month everything gets flagged and people get really frustrated and then the next month the exact same ads are fine.

Just repost in a day or so.

I've had the same problem and it's really frustrating.

I don't think everyone and their brother should be able to just flag stuff willy nilly. There should be moderators who have the exclusive ability, and a little notice would be nice. Sheesh!
