Is the flat belly diet safe/ effective for diabetes? I have type 2 DM

I'm not really familiar with it but as long as it is relatively well balanced and doesn't completely eliminate any one food group, it should be fine -- just be sure to keep both your calories and your carbohydrates relatively well balanced throughout the day -- keep an eye on your BGL readings and try if for a couple of weeks.

Hi, I think the website won't let people with Diabetes join - probably because of the liability issues.

Once you get past the four day jump start, the 28 day plan is very sensible, kind of South Beach or Weight Watcher like but targeting belly fat.

You would still have to be responsible for monitoring your own menu suggestions and insulin levels, etc.

I've been on this 3 weeks tomorrow and would say it is a great plan for blood sugar sensitive folk. I'm on the gluten-free option and it has me eating pretty much only things that are *good* for my blood sugar. Very much leaning toward low-glycemic.
