You said you're doing WW core & plus 40g whey a day, or you plan to start WW core on Monday?
True WW is not considered a diet, but a permanent change in eating habits...but in theory, it is like following a different eating plan (diet)...even if you follow it for the rest of your life. Sorry if I'm confused...
I would like some info on whey protien. Any special reason for slowly increasing the amount of whey rather than just going with the 40g right away? I am assuming it is a powder, is that correct? What do you mix it with? What does it taste like? What is the calorie count?
Um, I'm kind of confused too. Are you saying that you aren't even up to the full 40g yet but have lost 2 pants sizes in a week?!? I'm sure you are very excited about it but I'm afraid I'm a little scared for you. What else are you eating?
Yea can you fill us in on what exactly you are doing. Are you exercising? How much are you planning on losing? What is the point of taking it? Like is it helping you lose inches????
If you are losing weight without exercise you are losing muscle as well as fat and that can be dangerous. Whey has calories. What's the nutritionals on the capsules. I used whey protein powder after exercise - 110 calories in 1 scoop and I mix it with water but you can mix it with any liquid. The one I get has 26 grams of protein. Protein is supposed to help with muscle repair after exercise.
I can't say any of the stuff you have reported has happened to me. Exactly what are you eating now?
I read and followed that same program a couple weeks ago. I didn't lose much in the way of pounds but I did lose inches around my waist.
In the way of aerobic exercise, I alternated between a stationary bike, an aerobic step, a trampoline, a couple videos (TBL, Denise Austin, and The Firm) and walking/jogging.
I lifted weights mostly with The Firm videos.

The program (I don't have the mag with me but I can edit this post when I get home this evening) was mostly low calorie/low fat. You also added 20 grams of protein to your diet twice a day. I distinctly remember the yogurt plus protein powder combo as your evening snack. I'm pretty sure chromium was one of the supplements used. I believe flax or maybe fish oil is used, too. I use both of those supplements daily, anyway.
I love Woman's World magazine, they feature a new diet every week. I enjoy using most of the diets just to report back on if I lost any weight and if they are doable. I then take whatever concepts I like from those diets and use them in my way of eating.
As for the whey protein, I personally decided to not use the protein powder daily.

cmichele, thanks for explaining it a little. I was curious as to how this works. I will have to dig around at work to see if I can find this issue. Kathy
Which is the best WHEY available in the market ? Is it OPTIMUM or Nitrotech or Challeger ? I'm looking forward to add Whey to my diet and any my instructor advised me to go with Muscletech's Nitrotech while the bodybuilding site lists Optimum as No. 1, few of my friends recommended BSN too.
I'm little confused ..can you share your experiences about these products and help me choose the best amoing these one's.
