Default Moody

I started counting calories again on the 12th, and I am finding myself to be so moody. I have 4 kids and I feel like I have no patience with them at all, I also have had a constant headache which doesn't help. Could this be from cutting out a lot of my sugars? I haven't really had anything with a lot of sugar and before I could drink a 2 liter of pepsi a day along with sweet tea, brownies etc.(see why I need to lose weight?) Has anyone else been moody when first starting this?

Could be a combination of sugar withdrawal and caffeine withdrawal -- especially in view of the headaches. Just hang in there, both the pain and the moodiness should pass in a few days.

Yes, I tended to be very moody in the beginning---I feel much calmer now
..........by the way, my daughter's name is also Jocelyn---I guess just spelled a bit different.
Good luck!

I love her name, when I named her (9 years ago) i never heard the name. Now she goes to school with 3 different Joselyn's and one is in her class with the same last initial too lol

Now I get too hope and pray that these mood swings go away before my kids and husband leave me lol

I'm sure the mood swings will pass.
I only really heard of the name once before I decided on it. Then while I was pregnant I knew of one other person who was naming her baby the same thing. My little girl is only 5, so it looks like you were way ahead in popularity. We call our daughter Josie or Jocelyn.

One thing that I have found that helps with moodiness, is to do your exercise early in the day if you can. It makes the "feel good" chemicals happen in the body, and your mood will improve.

How often are you eating? Your blood sugar may be dipping too low between times. If you are only eating 3 meals a day, maybe grab a few carrot sticks here and there throughout the day, see if things level out?

I agree with aphil. I like to do my excercises early in the day. Not only does it release the "feel good" chemicals to begin with, but I start my day feeling accomplished. That has been one of my favorite parts of this whole journey.
