I was just wondering if anyone did tai chi. i have been thinking about it for some time but can't decide if i want todo it at home or try to find a class somewhere. it just seems so powerful yet calming when i watch people do it on tv.
It would probably be best to go to a class focused on Tai Chi. It's very involved, and having someone there to correct your posture and position could prevent some joint nastiness.
I used to Tai Chi. It is wonderful and I would recommend it. Even though it looks super easy it is a workout. However, I would definitely suggest signing up for classes somewhere because even though you can learn the moves (the "stick set") from a book, you need somebody to guide you to do it right. It is only seemingly easy. You will love it though.
