Default Points Plan Question

Hello!!

Fairly new to the boards and have a question...

Basically me and my boyfriend are on a very tight budget and my boyfriend doesn't like to eat 'diet food' even though I make it interesting and tasty. He insists that for some meals we have curry, burgers, chips etc... I can't afford to buy extra for me and have given in to the moaning!

I have worked out the points for all these and I can have them if I eat something light earlier in the day but is it ok to eat so many points together in one meal?

Thanks babes xxxx

It doesn't matter when you eat your points, as long as you don't go over. You could try ground turkey burgers or fat free chips (the ones with olean taste the same as regular. They are expensive though).

ground turkey is yummy- or even go lean- i don't think the points are too horriable for lean ground beef- make french fries by sliceing potatoes and seasoning them and then baking them- there are lots of healthy alternatives to the not so healthy food. If worse come to worse- buy what you need to eat, and seperated it into baggies for each serving so you can dethaw them seperately- if that makes sense.

Do you have access to the WW website -- I have found tons of recipes on their that my family don't even recognize as "diet".

Thanks guys! Thats a big help :-)

I've been cooking low fat meals some days but i've had to compromise on the others... will try my best to work around it!

I dont get it... he eats the low fat dinner and loves it but as soon as he finds out i've used low fat alternatives he decides he could tell and it wasn't as good as it usually is!! huh?!?

If you don't mind being sneaky -- I've actually, on occasion, saved the bottles/containers from his fat stuff and filled it with my light stuff -- he honestly doesn't know the difference for the most part! And, if he likes the dinner, why tell him it's low fat -- just leave it at that
