Default Oh no!!

Gosh you guys! I had lost 5 pounds in just over a week and after just 2 high calorie meals I gained it all back! In the last 2 days all my loss has gone away. Could it just be temporary water weight? I'm really distressed!

It takes several days for true fat loss/gain to show on the scale. Unless you consumed 17,500 calories OVER your maintenance calories it's probably water weight (3500 calories=1 pound).

What you lost was mainly water, plus if you lost it once, you will loose it again, dont worry about it now. Just focus, and start over for a period of time.. at least four weeks, before seeing proper results...

In my first weigh in I lost around 8 lbs, and was so disappointed, but than when they did the measurments I was 6cm less around the waist, so check your measures, maybe you will see soem changes.

Hey Rikku,

Water weight. That said, what was with those two high-calorie meals, anyway?

Stay with it! Don't give up!

High-calorie meals are notoriously high-salt as well. Often it takes a couple of days for our bodies to adjust after several heavy meals. So yeah... water weight most likely. Just get back into your routine and check the scale a few days from now. You'll most likely see that it's back to "normal".

It's highly unlikely that you ate 17,500 calories between those two meals above your maintenance calorie level, like Zenor mentioned, and that it would show up that quickly. Most of it is probably water weight! But, I guess remember that panic next time and have it be a lesson learned! The high calorie meals just aren't worth it, IMHO!
